ASUS PadFone To Be Released In More Countries For €699

ASUS PadFone Release Date

ASUS PadFone is, until now, the most original terminal of the year, because it combines a smartphone with a tablet, which can be fitted in a docking station that even comes with a stylus and headset. What would you want more from a device?

Unfortunately, ASUS PadFone was recently associated with the shipping delays caused by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 chipset production, which are highly appreciated and demanded by the big smartphone makers, being the ideal processing solution of the moment.

Well, today we are coming with fresh news about ASUS PadFone release date. You should know that the samartphone tablet combo is already available for purchase in its home country, Taiwan, since April 20th, 2012.

The PadFone is a smartphone packing a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display and the aforementioned processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. You can introduce the smartphone into a special slot carved inside a 10.1-inch tablet (PadFone Station) and you can even add a full QWERTY dock-in keyboard, reminiscent of the tablets member of the ASUS family. The PadFone Stylus Headset accessory can be used both as a stylus and as a headset for voice calls or voice commands. All the features and the elements of the ASUS PadFone were detailed and demoed for the first time at Mobile World Congress 2012 event in Barcelona, in February.

The PadFone smartphone is the “central hub” of this hybrid and it comes with a pretty good camera, with an 8 megapixel sensor, Fuji image processor and 5 element lens. Other features include Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 1 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of internal storage and a microSD card up to 32 GB slot. When it comes to connectivity ASUS Padfone boasts HSPA+ (download speeds of up to 21 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and HDMI out.

The next markets that will receive the ASUS Padfone are Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany and other several European countries. According to the information that recently hit the web the ASUS’ smartphone + tablet combo would cost as much as €699, while the docking station would have a price of €149.
