I have downloaded and extracted everything into one location. I arrive to the launch screen and put in my game settings and it launches. However, after running it, I get an error message saying that the game is unable to validate my license. In other words, it is still trying to log me in to battlenet. Any useful hints? Thanks.

Guys, i have checked, and if you get a CRC error is because while downloading the file, something has happened, and you end up with an useless file.
It’s not from our side, we suggest a second download, using a download manager.

I’ve seen some youtube videos that say you can crack the game to get onto battle.net, but havn’t been able to get that to work. Anyone else know if anything like that is possible? Also, i found some v6 AI downloads to put the computers on insane

use only the latest patch, the one with the LauncherGUI and it will work.
If you still don’t get any results, download again the patch and add the launcher ass an exception to your antivirus. Or more simple, close it while you play the game. It is virus free, i play it myself.

Lol.. what bullshat is this? The Trial Download link leads me to a site with the CLOSED BETA DOWNLOAD, not a single player download, and you need a beta key to play the damn game, also, ever when I download said game with a download manager, the game dosnt even show up on my desktop, further issues..
In my post above, there is a link to an Single player patch. You apply it to the beta client and you can play without problems.

When all the files are installed you have to extract them to the folder containing the actual beta client and run the ‘LauncherGUI’ file. You need a program like winrar to do that. At least that’s what I did. Remember you also need the maps files (14 mb) and the AI files (11 mb) to get it to work.

I solved the corrupted file problem by using Internet Download Manager (IDM). You sohould try it.
Well…. This, I do believe is bull. I get the same corrupted files problem the other people get. I used the same download manager and I have a great computer with great internet. I can find the beta elsewhere, so I am going to try that with these maps and AI. I will let you know if it works. Till then… no props on the corrupt download! :/
Download it again. You just have bad luck. Corrupted file error can be received if your internet has stopped working for a microsecond.
As you can see above, a lot of people found it working. So try again.
Dloaded the Beta from a Torrent site and It works with the AI and Maps. Only played for a couple mins but it works. I am going to get into a solo game right now. Can’t wait for the multi player to come out. Props on the AI and Maps… Don’t know why you can’t provide a non corrupt download. I didn’t let it update to the latest patch. I cancelled it out. Don’t know if it would work or not and I didn’t want to find out before I tested to see if it even worked.

At first I was skeptic as to how legit this really is, but after much pondering I decided to take the jump and go for it and boy was I glad I did. The only thing I thought to myself was why didn’t I do it sooner lol. I must admit, first time around for anything isn’t easy as I had found out. It took me about an hour or so messing around on the installation process and trying to get it to work and at one point I almost gave up and thought this was fake (it isn’t). All I have to say is follow the instructions and read what other people have commented and you should be able to get it to work. Here is the exact steps I took in order to get it to work.
(1) Download the beta client through a download manager.
(2) Download the patch (the beta client and patch is available on this page in the article so no need to look elsewhere.
(3) Install the beta client and unzipped the patch with WinRar and run the LauncherGUI.
**Note: the beta client installer should be in the default folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II Beta\
Unzipped the patch directly into the \StarCraft II Beta\ folder or just drag and drop it into this folder.
The installer once run, will do the patching and installation process that can take anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes and keep in mind it will be in an infinite loop so once you see that it has reached the end of installation and it restart installing itself, just ignore the second installation part and click on the ‘X’ to exit. Then run the LauncherGUI and it should work. At least this is what I did and it worked for me. gl hf.

Nick, that’s because you haven’t installed the beta client yet. I had the same error too then found out that I haven’t installed the game yet. Find the folder where you downloaded the beta and install that first and then run the LauncherGUI in the patch.

Probably because you don’t have a beta key attached to the account. You should download our patch for the Single player mode. It can be found with the links bellow.

you can not play this game on the official servers without an Starcraft beta key.
You can play it just in the single player mode, using our patch.

Hm.. Check if your firewall is off. If that doesn’t works, reinstall the game and restart the whole updating procedure. Worked for me
Oh, and another thing. On my age old desktop I can play the beta (on very low settings tho), however on my fairly recent laptop, the game starts, however my map is completely black. I can see the minimap and the menu bar on top, but the entire map is just black. Solutions?
Try lowering your graphic settings and restart the game. It should be all good then.

Reinstall the game. This is a problem caused by Blizzard servers, not this client. I meet it when i was trying to update to patch #9. So just reinstall the game and it should work fine.

When I installed the beta with a Beta Key, it kept re-installing patch 11 for me too (no problems with 12 though) – just be patient and you’ll get there.

Let me get this straight… I click “trial download” which then asks me to save or cancel. I click save and it takes forever to download. I then went to where it saved and ran it with winrar self extractig. I got to about 98 and then it says files corrupt. Am i doing anything wrong?

Second, Do you need the Starcraft 2 CD, bacause I did this same thing somewhere else and they said it was needed.
Once again, for some odd reason not all download managers succeed to download the file. The one that works is called, ahem…
“Internet Download Manager”
and can be downloaded from:

I use Orbit Downloader but it can’t get the file, it only downloads the 32kb .html link file.
When you install the above Download manager, it should automatically integrate with your browsers (I’m on Firefox, it installed an addon).
You just have to close all browsers and open them again so the Manager can start working.
Then you go to download the Starcraft file, click the link and tell the Download Manager where to put it, click start and wait.

No key can play? i managed to run SC2, let it install the patch and i created a battle.net account.. but its stuck at the area whereby it says waiting for the response from battle.net.. how to play with AI?

and 2. is this download still up i keep trying tp get it from the Trial Download link but its not going. I know the beta ended june 7th does that have anything to do with it not downloading.

OK, I’ve done everything properly, downloaded beta client, installed it, then dled launcher, maps and ai. But when I try to launch game it starts dloading patch 15, first says “no problems detected” and after that “the tracker is not responding” and downloading doesnt start, i’ve been waiting for hour and nothing.. any help pls?

ok so i downloaded the above link and when i got to exract the files and insatll it, it stops at bout 99% and says
” Some installation files are corrupt. Please download a fresh copy and retry the installation”
i try to download the entire 2 hour process and reninstall it but it comes up with the same messege. how do i fix this so i can play sc2???
nevermind, no help needed. after downloading file 2 times, on the third time, it works!!!!! im playing the beta no!!!! if it doesnt work for anyone, just keep re downloading it an eventually it will work! thank you sooo much who ever owns this site

hey this doesnt work i havetry o download thousand times and it gets to 14% and the it says is corrupt . i did use manager but with that is worst doesnt even let me download it
Did the lan launcher come out yet?
Is there a new launcher in the works? Because the sc2allin1 launcher will not work with patch 16.

i got it working but when i play its rly laggy and i can only play one game the next games even worst its litterly like a frame per a second and way i can improve my lag i have everything on low settings

oh btw i think this doesnt work anymore cuz the whole game system is patched. is there any way to get around it? this was working before, although the character in the character screen doesnt move. mind helping me?
ok try to get the lazylauncher2 (just search it in google) and run the game with it som of the other loders dont let u play and som lets u play but on easy ai i use (got my copy of a friend) SC2ALLin1_setup4x to play the game and it lets me pick ai level and work nic but only with sc2 official maps but still its nice game even if its only a beta but i want a update for it if eney one knows of them put a link plezzzzzzzz or ill kill u
Bought the game, Installed it, “Some installation files are corrupt”. Called support, reinstalled, same problem. Dl new drivers for vid card same problem. Support advised me to reinstall using online Client. Same problem. 12 hours later still no reply from tech support. Called and they are closed now. Anyone have any ideas.

I have downloaded the beta client using the link provided. However, I have tried to install the beta, but its not installing. I have been waiting 1 hour, but the install bar is not budging. Any ideas?
