Google Nexus 7 Price And Specs Leaked Ahead Of Google I/O Event
Only 2 days remain until Google IO will start. However, people keep speculating about some of the products. A lot if rumors have surfed the web and the will probably keep appearing until the device will be officially launched. It’s the case of the Nexus 7 as well (the tablet suspected to be developed by Google in collaboration with ASUS). It’s supposed to be a 7-inch Android tablet. Gizmodo Australia has unveiled a training document for the Nexus 7 (at least that is what they say it is). The document includes a lot of details about the tablet.
The document confirms the fact that the tablet will have a 7-inch display and that it’s manufactured by Asus (both ASUS and Nexus being branded on the back side). The device will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it will be powered by 1.3Ghz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. Also, the Nexus 7 will feature 1GB of RAM, 8GB / 16GB of internal storage, an IPS Display, a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, NFC with Google Wallet and Android Beam, a 1.2 front shooter and a 9 hour battery life.
The price tag depends on the amount of internal storage. So, the 8GB version will cost $199 and the 16GB version $249.
The specs are really awesome considering the price of the device, and if they are true, then the Google Nexus 7 will be one of the most sold devices on the market. However, until now we don’t even know for sure if there is gonna be a tablet called Nexus 7. We will just have to wait for the Google IO and see if the rumors are true.
If Google will really announce the Nexus, the Kindle Fire’s position in the top of the most sold tablet will be in danger because, let’s face it, $199 for a device with the above specs, there is no way to beat that.
