Here are the instructions for How To Add Custom Backgrounds To Microsoft Word .DOC Files:

  1. First, you must to open your Word file.

  2. Then, you must to press the Page Layout button from your toolbar.

  3. Next, you must to select Page Background button, where you must choose Watermark.

  4. Now, you must to press the Custom Watermark button and then you must to select from your computer the desired picture pressing the Picture Watermark button. When you find the picture that you want to add press double click on it.

  5. You can use the Auto option for the picture size or you can manually set it.

  6. Finally, you must check the Washout box to set your picture to be semi-transparent to see clearly your document text. And now, save your changes.
