HTC Zeta Pics And Specs Leaked – Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich And 2.5GHz Quad-Core CPU Confirmed
Every day that passes by brings a new device on the tech blogs, mostly devices that are just prototypes or leaks about a new smartphone. Sometimes the rumors are true, but sometimes they are just some news invented by smart guys to attract visitors on their websites. Fore the time being let’s say that HTC Zeta is true.
HTC Zeta is an yet unannounced smartphone, but rumor has it that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-powered smartphone might debut sometime next year. The metallic body, the speaker shape and the Beats Audi logo makes us thing that the image is more than a concept. Even though the design doesn’t strike you as unusual, the technical specifications are simply dazzling. HTC Zeta is one of the mobile terminals that almost entirely eliminates the the border between notebooks and smartphones.
Rumor has it that HTC Zeta features a quad-core APQ8064 Qualcomm chipset, clocked at 2.5GHz. Last week we were talking about HTC Edge, the next flagship of the HTC line-up powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz Tegra 3 processor, which seems like a more viable CPU frequency. The HTC Zeta sports a 4.5-inch display, with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the new standard for the Android-powered flagship smartphones. Since it has a high screen resolution it means that the Zeta is running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The specs list also includes 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a Li-Ion battery of 1,830mAh.
I said above that the design of HTC Zeta doesn’t strike you as unusual, but compared to how the HTC smartphones look now, it is completely changed, reminding me of Nokia N9 and Nokia Lumia 800. HTC Zeta dimensions are 110 x 61 x 9,8 mm and an 8MP camera with dual LED flesh and 1080p full HD video recording support and a speaker can be easily spotted on the metallic back lid. Zeta features Bluetooth 4.0 and it was rumored that it also comes with 4G LTE support.
Even thought the picture you are looking at is just a rendering of the HTC Zeta, the image came with a lot of details and the most interesting one is the quad-core 2.5GHz Qualcomm CPU. Thant’s the moment when HTC Edge, another rumor, steps back to let another smart phone take its place with even more power hid under the case.
For the time being, no details regarding the launch date or the price of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich-powered smartphone were revealed. Anyway, we will still have to wait a few more months to get more details about the device that might become the world’s first smartphone with a quad-core 2.5GHz processor, HTC Zeta.
