iPhone 5 Body Case Leaked, Confirmed By Several Sources
The iPhone 5 is the next big thing coming from Apple, but so far we don’t know how the new iOS-powered smartphone will look like or what will be the official name of the device.
Fortunately there are a lot of tech blogs that have connections with Apple employees or persons who are close to the development of the iPhone 5, so the first pictures of the terminal’s case have leaked on the web. The leaked iPhone 5 case photos confirm that the new Apple smartphone will sport a bigger and better display.
According 9to5Mac, the website that posted the first exclusive pictures with parts of the new iPhone 5, Apple’s device will have a 3.9-inch display with a resolution of 1,136 x 640.
The sources quoted by 9to5Mac are saying that the new iPhone will come with a completely new design, and the leaked pics are confirming the rumors. After the first set of alleged iPhone 5 case hit the web, everybody was a bit reticent, but the guys at 9to5Mac have returned with a new spy shot that confirms that we are looking at the real back lid of the highly-awaited Apple smartphone.
But the iPhone 5 body was also confirmed by another source, which posted case pictures that look exactly like the ones we’ve seen earlier the same day.
Now that we are almost sure that this is how the next gen iPhone will look like, the leaked pictures allowed use to learn more about the device. Thus we can tell you that the camera module is now a lot bigger and that the phone has a new dock connector.
Rumor has it that iPhone 5 release date was set for this fall and that the device was designed by Steve Jobs himself before the charismatic CEO passed away. The tech genius believed in a smartphone with a bigger display, thinner, more powerful and easier to use.
According to sources close to the matter, Steve Jobs worked closely with the Apple engineers to develop the supreme smartphone, but its launched was delayed due to manufacturing problems. Instead, Apple launched the iPhone 4S, which in my opinion was a disappointment even though the sale figures come to prove the contrary.
The new iPhone will be 20% thinner and bigger than the last generation of iOS smartphone. According to iLounge, the smartphone will measure 125 x 58.5 x 7.4 mm, 10 mm taller and 2 mm thinner than the iPhone 4S. The smartphone will sport a new metallic case and a new display, reportedly better than the current Retina panel, protected by Gorilla Glass 2 coating.
Quoting sources close to Apple, Digitimes informed that the new iPhone 5 screen will use in-cell-touch panels, a technology that will display the colors on top of the filters, which will enhance the brightness and the quality of the display.
Until now, the standard displays were rendering the colors below the filters and the new technology will allow the display manufacturers to create thinner panels, resulting into thinner smartphones.
Rumor has that iPhone 5 will bring a new SoC, as well, more powerful, clocked at 1.4 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and that it will come with 4G LTE support, currently available on the new iPad. It seems that the next generation Apple smartphone will sport a 12 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording support and it will have the new iOS 6 out of the box.
Moreover, it was speculated that the iPhone 5 will be capable of wireless recharging and that it will be available in two color versions, black and white, with 16 or 32 GB of internal storage.
A couple of months ago, Macotakara reported that the next generation of Apple smartphones will be launched in October 2012.
According to the information coming from the popular Japanese website, Apple will change the pattern of iPhone launches. The first iPhone models were all launched during the summer, beginning with iPhone 4S (which was presented in October 2012) the new Apple phone models will be released during the fall.
Therefore the new iPhone 5 will be launched one year after its successor, iPhone 4S.
