iPhone 5 Release Date

Now it’s official: the iPhone 5 release date is September 12th, as it was confirmed by the invitations sent by Apple for a special event. As everyone expected the iOS 6 final will debut synchronized with the new Apple smartphone.

The image above pictures the Apple invitation that was sent to several thousand people and companies in the world for a special event scheduled for September 12th. The press conference will be held at Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco at 10 AM, were we will be able to see the new iPhone 5 in flesh.

That’s all we know so far about the new Apple iOS 6-powered smartphone, and the shadow shaped like a 5, suggests that the official name of the new terminal will be iPhone 5.

Even though Apple is trying to keep all their products secret before the official announcement, a lot of leaked iPhone 5 parts and cases have hit the web over the past few months.

The iPhone 5 is one of the most awaited smartphones of the year and even though we might say we know everything about the new Apple smartphone, the Cupertino-based company will definitely unveil some surprise-features of its new device.

The rumor mill and the leaked photos have thought us so far the the new iPhone 5 will share the design language introduced by iPhone 4 and continued with iPhone 4S, but that will be taller than its successors. The raise in height was enforced by the new and bigger display chosen by Apple for its new smartphone. It seems that the iPhone 5 will be the biggest iPhone so far.

Some other reports are indicating that the iPhone 5 will come with a new dock-in connector, repositioned FaceTime camera and 3.5 mm jack and with a two-tone back lid, similar to the one introduced with the first iPhone. It seems that that the new iPhone will also be the slimmest so far, courtesy of the in-cell technology used for the new touch panel.

Summing up, were are a bit more than a week away from the official iPhone 5 release date. On September 12th all the rumors will come to an end and we will be able to see what the Cupertino-based company prepared for us this time.
