LG L3, L5, And L7 Android Smartphones Introduced As Parts Of The L-Style Series

This year, several companies have made some weird decisions as they’ve revealed their products ahead of an official event like the Mobile World Congress 2012. Samsung, LG, and ZTE have all made the headlines, however, LG is back with three new smartphones which will be a part of the L-series. In “chronological” order here they are: the L3, L5, and L7.
We know that you’ve already guessed, but the L3 is the low-end smartphone, the L5 is the middle-range, while the L7 is the high-end Android smartphone which will become available this Spring at a store near you. Even though LG hasn’t released all details about these three handsets, we can share a few details about them.
The L-series are all based on the Prada Phone 3 chassis, and they feature a 3.2-inch touchscreen, 4-inch, and respectively 4.3-inch. The lower end device is running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, while its two bigger brothers will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich when they will become available next month in Europe.
LG says that it’s looking to “go back to the roots” with the new L-series, and to establish itself as a design leader like it was in the past with the LG Chocolate and Shine series. The design is the most important aspect of a device, believes Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile. It’s time to focus on design that suits the lifestyle of the consumers, added Dr. Jong-seok Park.
In order to give us a hint on how exactly it will try to focus on the new smartphone lineup, LG confirmed that there are “five aesthetic elements” which will be very important: Modern Square Style, Floating Mass Technology, Seamless Layout, Harmonized Design Contrast, and last but not least, Sensuous Slim Shape.
The L-Style smartphones will have their specs announced at MWC 2012 next week. The event will take place in Barcelona, Spain. We expect the L-series to be very different from the Optimus devices, and we believe that they’ll coexist on the market as there’s no way LG will rename the Optimus Vu one day after it was officially announced.
