LG Optimus L5 European Release Date Is This Month
HTC wasn’t the only company that launched a line-up that has three devices, for each segment of the market. LG also launched a smartphone triplet, the L series. None of the LG Optimus L smartphone is able to cope with the pure power of the HTC One X, as they look rather centered on the mid-end and low-end segment. LG Optimus L7 and LG Optimus L3 already hit some markets and now it’s time for LG Optimus L5 to hit the Europe.
The South Korean smartphone comes with a 4-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, 800 MHz chipset and a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. The design of LG Optimus L5 is a reminiscent of LG Prada Phone 3.0, with it’s rectangular shape, also borrowed for the LG Optimus Vu phablet. The smartphone also comes with 4 GB of internal flash storage, a microSD card slot, 1,500 mAH battery and the latest LG user interface applied over Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
It seems that LG Optimus L5 will have different specifications, depending on the geographic area. In Europe and North America, Optimus L5 will feature a NFC chip, while in Asia and South America it will be a dual SIM terminal, which will easily make the switch between two cellular networks.
LG Optimus L5 is 9.5 mm thick and it will debut in France, Germany and UK this month, while the other Europeans might also be able to get their hands on the 4-inch smartphone sometime in July.
