Nokia Lumia 719 Gets Bluetooth SIG Certification

There’s no secret anymore that since Nokia have signed the partnership deal with Microsoft over producing Windows Phone-powered smartphones, the Finland-based company is constantly working on new products able to make them count on the smartphones market.
After Nokia CEO Stephen Elop introduced both Nokia Lumia 710 and Lumia 800 on 26 October 2011 at the Nokia World 2011 event, everyone was expecting to see a third Windows Phone smartphone that will become the Lumia line-up flagship.
The WP flagship materialized into the shape of Nokia Lumia 900, a smartphone introduced at CES 2012 and designed for the North American Market. Rumor has it that the global version of Lumia 900 is right around the corner.
Since Microsoft is preparing the Tango update (alleged to support low-end system requirements) Nokia decided that it would be time to withstand the low-end Android smartphone inflation and fight Samsung’s cheap smartphones with their Nokia Lumia 610, world’s first entry level smartphone running on Windows Phone.
Anyway, it seems that Nokia’s assault on the smartphone market continues, as another member of the Lumia line-up appears in an information leak. This time we are talking about Nokia Lumia 719, a smartphone that recently received the Bluetooth SIG certification. According to the information leaked from the authority that certified the devices, it seems that we are dealing with a terminal that will only go on sale in Asia, North America and South America.
It seems that Twitter, Facebook and People Hub are among the features of the new Nokia Lumia 719, nothing to surprise here, as the aforementioned device is running on Microsoft’s Windows Phone. Nokia Lumia 719 sports a 3.7-inch ClearBlack display, a 5MP camera with support for 720p HD video recording and so far it sounds like talking about Lumia 710. The smartphone will come with some exclusive features, like ESPN and Univision content, Local Scout, Bing Search and turn by turn navigation courtesy of Nokia Drive.
Unwired View claims that Nokia Lumia 610 and the European version of Lumia 900 will unveiled by the Finland-based company at MWC 2012 event in Barcelona, but they can’t confirm whether Lumia 719 will be exhibited in Spain. Now, after seeing how wide the Lumia line-up can be (if taking the rumors as granted) we expect Nokia to start a smartphone offensive similar to Samsung’s and their Galaxy line-up.
