Nokia World 2012 Debuts Today, Windows Phone 8 Lumia 920 And 820 To Be In The Spotlight
Nokia World 2012 event will be held today, simultaneously in Helsinki, Finland and New York and the press conference should bring us the first details about the first Windows Phone 8 smartphones of the Finnish company, devices that are supposed to hit the market by the end of 2012, in order to prove that Nokia still has something to say on the smartphone segment.
The stars of the Nokia World event were supposed to be Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820, the successor of the first-gen Nokia WP smartphones, the Lumia 900 and Lumia 900.
The rumor mill speculates that Nokia Lumia 920 will come with a 4.5-inch display with HD resolution, dual-core Qualcomm CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz (most likely the Snapdragon S4 unit), 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, 8 megapixel with PureView technology (present for the image and video stabilization features) and a front-facing 1.3 megapixel sensor for video calls.
On the other hand, the Nokia Lumia 820 leaked a few days ago and we were able to get a first look at the terminal’s design. It might arrive with 4.3-inch display and it could share Lumia 920′s processor solution. Anyway, there are only a couple of hours left until Nokia World 2012 opens its gates and we will be able to see the official specifications of the two smartphones.
According to the details available on Nokia’s official website, the Nokia World event will have a new format: it will stretch on two days, with a series of events to respond to the desires of the target groups like app developers.
