Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Existence Confirmed Before Its MWC Announcement

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Invitation

As the Mobile World Congress is getting closer, the speculations about the devices that will be unveiled at the Spanish-based event are starting to hit the web. Rumor has it that Samsung is preparing a bigger version of their smartphone-tablet hybrid, Samsung Galaxy Note. Since Samsung Galaxy Note was announced during IFA Berlin 2011 and introduced to the public in late October 2011 the niche product managed to attract the customers with its huge 5.3-inch display.

Now it seems that Samsung is preparing a bigger version of the Note. Featuring a 10.1-inch display the new Galaxy Note 10.1 will join Samsung’s tablet line-up and might be announced by the South Korea-based company during Mobile World Congress 2012, event set to debut on February 27th.

The rumor about the alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 was powered by an invitation sent by the South Korean company to the developers. The invitation contains a list of Samsung devices that will be exhibited at Mobile World Congress; Galaxy Note 10.1 is one of them. Even though the information is not official and there not sign of the tablet’s technical specifications, the surprise appearance on Samsung Developer Day at MWC 2012 invitation is a starting point.

In Barcelona, at Mobile World Congress 2012, Samsung will exhibit a 10.1-inch device. According to the rumor mill it will be called Galaxy Note 10.1. The proof behind the rumors is a document that invites the developers to join Samsung’s press conference where the latest Samsung technology will be presented: S Pen SDK, Bada 2.0 SDK, Galaxy Note 10.1, Wave 3 and Wave Y. If it ever sees the light of day, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 would be a Samsung Galxy Tab 2-like tablet, but with a bigger display and probably high-end specifications. The name of the aforementioned terminal suggests that it sports a 10.1-inch display and that it comes with Samsung’s S-Pen stylus, introduced with Galaxy Note.

When the South Korea-based company announced the Galaxy Note, they said that once the S Pen SDC is introduced December, we should expect loads of interesting Android applications that will get the most of the Note’s S Pen. Is this the moment when Samsung draw the ace up their sleeve? Maybe the South Korean company will reintroduce the stylus, an accessory long forgotten after the debut of Apple’s iPhone and iPad, into the gadgets world and bring it a whole new level.

For the time being the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is just a rumor, but the Mobile World Congress is a couple of weeks away and I am sure we will find more details at the Spain-based telecom exhibition.
