Yesterday, Nintendo hosted a live internet transmission via Nintendo Direct service dedicated to the Wii U console. The full list of technical specifiactions, the release date and price of the new Nintendo Wii U console have been officially announced at the press event.

Therefore, we can now confirm that the new Wii U will come with 2 GB of RAM. The operating system will use 1 GB, while the apps and the games will benefit from the remaining RAM. As well, the console will be available in two versions, basic and premium, the only differences between them will be the colors and the internal storage space. The Wii U Basic is with and has 8 GB of internal storage, while the Wii U Premium is black and comes with 32 GB of flash storagte.

Even though Nintendo only unveiled the prices for the North American market, I guess that the Europeans will have to pay the same amount of money for an Wii U. The Basic package will have a price of $299, and will include the console, a GamePad, a stylus for the touchscreen, HDMI cable and the AC charger. The Wii U Premium package (called Deluxe in US) will offer the higher-storage capacity console, all the accessories of the Basic package, plus the Nintendoland game, a charging dock for GamePad, and a stand, all these fore $349.

Games like FIFA 13, Mass Effect 3: Special Edition, Nano Assault Neo, ZombiU, RAYMAN LEGENDS, Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U, Trine 2,: Director’s Cut, and Toki Tori 2 will be available for the new Nintendo console as soon as it hits the market.

As about the Wii U release date, learn that each region will receive the console at a different date. Wii U release date for US is scheduled for November 16th, Europe will be next, on November 30th, while Japan will get it on December 6th.

A lot more games will be ported on the console soon after it will be released with the likes of NBA 2K13, 007 Legends, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, TRANSFORMERS PRIME, Skylanders Giants, Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2013, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Madden NFL 13, and Assassin’s Creed III among them.
