ZTE is a brand that so far hasn’t counted on the high-end Android smartphones market, but for MWC 2012 they China-based company is preparing two Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-powered models. We are talking about ZTE PF200 and ZTE N910, two devices with technical specs worthy of a modern smartphone.
ZTE seems eager to present us their new products, and after they launch a new cheap tablet ahead of MWC 2012, they unveiled two new Ice Cream Sandwich-based mobile terminals today. It seems that ZTE couldn’t wait until MWC Barcelon and already announced two new smartphones that will come pre-loaded with Android 4.0 ICS.
The first model announced by the Chinese company is called ZTE PF200, and it seems will be the company’s flagship. The terminal features a 4-inch display with a resolution of 950 x 540 pixels, 1.2GHz CPU (likely to be dual-core), 8MP camera with full HD 1080p video recording support, LTE, DLNA, MHL and NFC connectivity.
The second smartphone is called ZTE N910 with technical specs recommending it for the mid-range segment. The terminal will have an 800 x 480 pixels resolution, a single-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 5MP camera with autofocus and flash, secondary front-facing camera for video calls, LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and DLNA connectibity. The ZTE N910 is a CDMA-only smartphone.
The China-based company will launch big-screen terminals and 1.2GHz and 1.5GHz chipsets. ZTE PF200 is a smartphone that features a 4.30inch qHD capacitive touchscreen display, 8MP camera with support for 1080p video capture and user-facing camera for video calls. The same terminal will feature LTE, UMTS and GSM connectivity, plus Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, WiFi and AGPS. DLNA, MHL and NFC are also among the features of the ZTE PF200. As about ZTE N910, the handset comes with LTE, GDMA and EVDO, but also an 800 x 480 pixles display.
ZTE N910 incorporates a 5 MP camera with autofocus, flash and 1080p video recording support. The specs list also includes GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and DLNA. ZTE will be based at booth B145 at MWC 2012, between Febraury 27th and March 1st. We don’t know yet whether the two ZTE smartphones will hit other countries than US and China, because of their affinity for LTE support.
These are the first details so far about the ZTE PF 200 and ZTE N910, but we promise to return soon after the prices, availability and new technical specifications are revealed.
Both ZTE smartphones will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board, and I am sure that more details about pricing and availability will be unveiled at the end of the month, at Mobile World Congress 2012.
